I think the board would look nicer if it is slightly brighter (I can of course use software to change that). I also prefer the colour slightly more yellow.
Yes, unfortunately you need to adjust both the brightness and the color tones in software. :)

Hi macelee, I just took 2 more of the board. Maybe it's a bit brighter today.

I just made a new version of noGo in its main thread, with several built in stone and board themes. There are some screenshots of the new skins at the bottom. I think the photos work really nicely - if this is just your proof of concept, Ed, consider yourself a photographer extraordinaire ;) . The light shine direction is perfect for how I'd have chosen it, and I did notice you provided differently oriented stones, they are now selected randomly!

I have some more ideas for stuff to add, but what do people think about these first versions? The new default is fairly unmodified (just cropped) photos, which looks great to me, though I personally prefer a version more like the originals.

Hi amnal, thanks. For completeness (and culture, and full disclosure :)), maybe you'd like to know
the stones are Kuroki Size 38 (10.7 mm) standard grade, the board is the under-side of a Japanese
shin-kaya 2.25" (57mm) thick board (from Samarkand.net when they still used to sell Go equipment).
Southern California all natural lighting, raw images, no photoshop or any other editing.
The camera is an ancient (~2006), discontinued Sony DSC T-50.
