I wish I could get some info. Closest I could get is the status page on SL: http://senseis.xmp.net/?OGS%2FStatus
Just says "server down for maintenance" posted Friday. No ETA or anything.
I hope the DB is ok!

It's second day now. Whenever I visit the site (http://www.online-go.com/) I get the same error message in French: Bonjour, Un problème technique sur un de nos serveurs nous oblige à bloquer tous les sites. Revenez plus tard. Désolé pour le désagrément, L'équipe technique de nainwak. I used Google translation and got: Hello A technical problem with one of our servers we have to block all sites. Come back later. Sorry for the inconvenience, The technical team Nainwak. Does anyone here know more about the problem the site is in? |

OGS is back up and everything seems to work just fine!!  Problems were due to a user abusing OGS for spamming... I shall not like to think what I would do to him/her if I ever met him/her...

There was a user spaming but he was not the cause of the outage. Damien wrote in the System Message: "There was a downtime due to an emergency maintenance on the hardware during the weekend." Of course it would be interesting to get to know the real reasons ... |
