Hi all,

I tried to make my earlier AlphaGo videos approachable, but some friends and family still said they couldn't appreciate the variations and other geeky details. I really wanted to share why the recent Google Deepmind AlphaGo Challenge was so significant and amazing. So back to the drawing board. Although I made the following videos to appeal to both go and AI enthusiasts, I hope they will be approachable and informative to those who know nothing of either. I understand that most of y'all are even bigger go fanatics than me, and I don't expect that you will learn too much new, especially in the first episode and a half. But, if you do watch, I welcome your feedback.

Episode 1 - A brief introduction to go, its rules, and its history, as well as the history of computer go, and a not too technical introduction to AlphaGo

Episode 2 - A low-level discussion of the innovative and amazing moves of AlphaGo, the adaptive play of Lee Sedol, consideration of AlphaGo's true rating, and then some thoughts on Game 4 "bugs"

Episode 3 - Discussion of the impact of the AlphaGo on the go community, the future of DeepMind and AlphaGo, and final reflection on the Challenge

I'm just finishing up watching all 3 videos. You did a really good job with these.

Thank you. Compared to my usual blunder videos, it was a lot of work. I'm glad you liked it. :)

Great job.

(But I should mention that the board has 361 intersections.)

Well, that's embarrassing!

Thanks, hgj11. Too late to fix now. :)
