I've been trying to think of a nice Go themed Christmas present to get myself. I've decided that if there are any well respected Go magazines out there, I'd like to get a subscription to one. So, are there any? |

It depends on the language you want the magazine in. Incidentally, though they are all different magazines, my favorites in English, Korean, and Japanese can all be translated as go world (바둑세계 for Korean and 碁ワールド for Japanese) :-p Regarding Korean magazines, some people prefer "Monthly Baduk", but I feel like I get more educational content from 바둑세계. The English "Go World" is a different magazine than the Korean and Japanese ones, but I don't know of many other English go magazines. You can find more about the English Go World magazine (which is, again, different than 바둑세계 and 碁ワールド) here: http://www.kiseido.com/go_world.htm |

I am looking for an English publication. Preferably one that focused on tactics and opening theory more than political or social aspects of the game. I will check out Go World. Thanks. |

I know it's not a magazine, but for tactics and opening theory have you tried out the lectures on wbaduk? |
