Thread about ways of promoting Go around the world. Please check this Korean clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q1 ... r_embedded 110 millions views on Youtube in less than 2 months. Few mln views every day! You can see Korean game changki (Korean chess) here on 0:52. But it was possible to show baduk instead. Just few seconds and ... lot of non-Go players around the world would google "korean game shown on PSY clip" Someone have to suggest Hankuk Kiwon this kind of tesuji! |

Not twenty hours ago I was pausing on that same video to verify that that was indeed not go. A lost opportunity. |

The message would be "Play this old board game and some weird shiny guy in sunglasses will appear, rapping and ultimately causing you to explode!". It`s hard to understand how this video itself was so popular, and I just cannot see changki getting a popularity surge out of its brief feature in it. Maybe if someone really huge globally were to be seen engrossed in a game of go...Lady GoGo, maybe? |

I am not a fan of that Genre of music, but that song and Video was great. Though I agree, I doubt it did much for Jangi's popularity. |
