Someone came into the Go center today and shared this tsumego/tesuji and story he got off a chinese website somewhere from the 19th Fujitsu, Cho Chikun, playing white, resigned here because he couldn't see how to rescue his stones, upon which his opponent, Lee Sedol immediately showed him the move to save the white stones. Can you find it? |

This game is covered in Go World Iss. 108 where it says that the move was discovered by Tsuruyama Atushi 6-dan. Anyway, even if Cho escapes he would still be behind on the board. I'm more surprised that Cho may not have seen this move. It's an uncommon move, but Cho's reading is famously thorough. Also, fun fact: This was Cho & Yi's first official game against each other.
