I am a fan of Kirby's line of BS. However, this morning he went too far. On my iPad2 (iOS 7.0.4) his post #193 crashes almost all my browsers (I think they all use the same rendering engine): Safari, Chrome, Mercury, iCab, and Atomic Web. Only Opera Mini can render the page. Note that due to our other issues, L19 is set to include on 10 posts per page so only posts #191 through #193 are on the failed page. Anyone have a similar experience? BTW, everything works fine on my PC.

I don't know if it helps, but I've enclosed my BS within a hide tag for now. If it doesn't work, I was the one who set the diagrams up for this site, and when I did it, the method I used was to pass the diagram code through the URL. I wonder if certain browsers have limitations on URL length.

If this is the case, maybe we can rethink the way diagrams work on the site.

The motivation for using the URL on my part was that the previous site, godiscussions.com, stored the images on the server after they were generated, and this started taking up too much server space. So the idea was to generate the images dynamically without permanently persisting any images, by using the URL.

Thanks for that. However, although #193 pops right up, the page as a whole still causes Safari to freeze and then crash. So blaming #193 was probably jumping the gun on my part. The weird part is that I have no problem with the earlier posts, every other page that I tried works. You didn't happen to change anything about the way you created the diagrams or the games for eidogo, did you?

Update. It looks like the problem is post #192. I stepped forward one post at a time using 'start= ' in the URL and the page crashes when #192 is included.

I'm using ipad on treadmill right now, so I cannot verify, but if I recall, that post is the pro sgf post from today.

Since the game record is from an originally non-English source, I may have a weird character in the sgf.

I will take a look tonight.

Haha, that's funny.

Anyway, try it again now. I didn't find any weird characters, but I did notice that the tag for komi uses "KO" from the site I retrieved it from, whereas the standard indicates "KM". Perhaps this was giving the eidogo player problems.

I removed the komi tag, so see if you can view the page, now.

It works fine now. The strangest things....
