It forstalls :b7: which was common for black when :w6: was popular. AlphaGo wasn't much into defending the :w2: :w4: group and often left it dangling, whereas the human idea was that it's heavy and needed a "base", hence :w6:. So this is not so surprising now. That doesn't mean I think I can play :wc: in your diagram and handle it well, but it's interesting.

in humangames the knights move is only used in special cases like the examples you mentioned,still couldnt find the move in the early openening anywhere.
