If white decides to split, he should not add a second stone! There is no good option for white on the lower left side on this board! (If white insists on splitting he should choose C11 instead anyways.)

I struggle against this kind of fusekis in real life tournaments and against my local go friends.

It is not easy to play against the two space extension in the upper left corner. (I think Alpha Go realized this also ;-) )
