Here is a minor milestone in my go career. I was playing a game this morning, and felt comfortably ahead, when my opponent tossed in one of those desperate placements - the marked stone at move 151. I connected, and he tried to live, and faced with ![]() Here's the SGF, if you're interested.

It's definitely something to write home about. Starting from your diagram I tried to read out how to make it a dead L. It took a while, probably longer if I didn't know what shape to make. So congratulations! ![]() |

I recognised this instantly. I find it very strange that I could read it out as a problem quite easily, but when faced with similar situations in my own games, I often don't read it out correctly and die. ![]() Also, congratulations! |
