After having played your first 100 games, I recommend x0tek these books: - First Fundamentals - Lessons in the Fundamentals of Go - Opening Theory Made Easy [I have not read this, but by popular recommendation it must be suitable, too] - Graded Go Problems for Beginners 1 + 2 - Tesuji (Davies) - Life and Death Problems 1 Note: this recommendation is specific for x0tek and his plan to become the world #1 player. Other players do not need to read so many books so early but should still be playing more. x0tek, if you discover that some of these books are still beyond your head, join the mortal players and play more, get club or teacher's advice before continuing to read books in order to improve your reading skill. Lessons in the Fundamentals: I am the one having written the most reviews in its favour:) I dislike that it contains only a few fundamentals and hides a few bits amidst the text, but otherwise it is great for its motivation and aim. |

It is one of only three books I refused to put up for sale when I sold over 200 go books 5 years ago. The other two were Treasure Chest Enigma and Invincible. |
