Thought about enhancing my blog with eidogo but sadly doesn't seem to work. |

Seems to work fine. Upload the files to your server. Go to the HTML editor in the Wordpress post page, and paste the code as follows: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.mcelhearn.com/eidogo/player/js/all.compressed.js"></script> <div class="eidogo-player-auto" sgf="http://www.mcelhearn.com/eidogo/sgf/example.sgf"></div> (Replace the paths, obviously, with those for your server.) Works fine: http://www.mcelhearn.com/2010/10/11/testing-eidogo/ Edit: Ah, wait, yours is a Wordpress.com blog; I don't think you can use it, unless you have someplace where you can store the files. If you really need it, and don't have another server, I could host the files for you; you'd just have to send me the sgf files, and take care of naming them correctly. |

You could use my EidoGo for Wordpress plugin that makes it all easy. |

Yeah, wordpress.com is quite restrictive about what you can do. It's the tradeoff for a site that requires zero configuration and can't get Fireballed. |

I need something which works with wordpress.com blogs. I don't host my blog on my own server and apparently wordpress.com doesn't work with coded objects which are not from it's trusted partners. |

You will not be able to use Eidogo with a Wordpress.com hosted blog. Javascript is only supported indirectly through certain shortcodes. http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/ You could petition them to add an Eidogo shortcode, but I would imagine the chances of them doing so are rather remote. If you really want Javascript, you may need to find another host for your blog. |

I've installed it on my new self-hosted version of my blog and it works great! I like the Wordpress.com stuff, but ultimately found it too limiting. I eventually moved to a self-hosted version so that I could create my own theme and get plugins like this to work. When I hosted my blog on Wordpress.com, I always hosted my .sgf files on Eidgo and then linked to them from my blog. While I very much appreciate the ability to do this, I much prefer having the game records inline on my site. |

tchan001 wrote: I need something which works with wordpress.com blogs. How about Goswf? It works remotely and it has beautiful graphic. You could use the web application on Vietnam Go Community web page: http://vncovay.org/vnkifu/index.php It's in Vietnamese but easy to figure it out. ![]() ![]() After uploading, you could open the SGF and find the code line ready for the kifu to be embedded on your wordpress blog |
