Post subject:  floor board for sale (with pictures)

So, as things turn out, I have a floor board I'm looking to sell. I know I could sell it on Ebay, but I'm more interested in selling it here and seeing what happens.

I'd like to do it as a silent auction, meaning no competitive bidding, just PM me with your best offer, and the person who with highest bid can have it for $1 over the second-highest bid. No reserve.

I'll leave it open for offers for a week, and announce the winner (if anyone bids) on Thursday, September 24. Payment in USD, by Paypal or check (but would wait for the check to clear before sending the board). Would also consider highly interesting trades as payment, I suppose.

I could ship it by either UPS or USPS. You can assume a weight of 25 lbs and look up shipping from US zipcode 14850 to your location online.

This board is rather old looking. Based on the weight and hardness of the surface, I'd say it's some type of softwood, though not too soft. The legs are detachable. It will need relining. It looks like the current lines were done with some type of marker. A marker would do the trick, or someone could do the whole resurfacing/relining thing.

I'll upload photos of the various surfaces as follow-up posts, both with and without flash, since it changes the look of the wood.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Can you post more detailed shots of the top (so we can see the grain more clearly), the cutout on the bottom, and one of the sides where you can see the tree rings?

Here are some more detail shots. I can do more, just not sure what level of detail to do, since the files could get big. Ask for more if you still feel like you need to see more.

Forgot to put the dimensions:

The board surface is 16-1/8" X 17-5/8".

The thickness of the board, without the feet, is 4-3/8".

The height, with the feet, is 8-5/8".
