I am super excited to be going to my first congress very soon! I'll actually be there the first week to help film the pro tournament for The Surrounding Game documentary, but I'll playing in congress itself and hope to see some of you there! So who's coming?

Already there, since last night, sweating gently and listening to cicadas complain. Last night, I'm pretty sure, I was the best go player in Black Mountain NC. Today I am just ok. Tomorrow, I'll be one of the worst.

I'm currently stuck in the Charlotte airport waiting for a delayed connecting flight to Asheville -- not yet sure how I'll be getting to the site in Black Mountain

I'm not going, so vash3g's comment about being in Charlotte made me check for US open results several times before it dawned on me that congress is next week.

and if I don't get to participate in an official L19 meetup... please stop by the EJournal staff room or Strong players room to say hi (if I'm not in the middle of broadcasting a game)

Zero pros from the Nihon Ki-in as of now. (Mr. Ryo Maeda is of the Kansai Ki-in). What a surprise.

Does anyone have a record of the most recent US Go Congress without any Nihon Ki-in pro? Is this the first time?
