pretty interesting. i can't even keep up on watching the games, i just don't get how he can play all 5... Against a 6 dan, 4d, 1d, 2k, and 4k. Still trying to figure out who's winning... |

I played in a 5-way simul twice with him a few weeks ago (I had 7 stones I think). He's a pro, after all. Tomorrow I'm playing a simultaneous against a Finnish EGF 6 dan, too ![]() |

Still trying to figure out who's winning... One benefit he will have in that case -- when you are playing white in a simul on KGS you have a nice tabbed interface to handle the multiple games. The tabs then light up when your opponent makes a move. This is not meant to take away from the difficulty in playing a 5 game simul of course (= |

Normally simul games are played at reduced handicap, but the games vs the 6d and 4d were at 3 and 4 stones respectively. That's really odd. They should have been at, say, 1H and 2H. Not sure why smartrobot accepted such tough games. That will be part of why he lost 2 of the 5. |

Considering the handicaps - 3 stones against a 7d for example, I think 3/5 was really really impressive! Maybe that's all part of selling the value of the school? |

Well, Jack (smartrobot) is a pro, so he doesn't really have anything to prove. Unless people don't believe he is pro ![]() |

Although his hilarious miss of the capture at the bottom against the 2k was really funny. The fact they both missed it especially so! |

The fact they both missed it especially so! The part that is the most impressive to me is that these games kicked off at 11pm local time for smartrobot. The game against the 6/7d player only finished around 1am. I'm a night person, but I don't think I could handle the intensity of five simul games that late, especially at more or less correct handicaps. |
