hello, i return after almost 8 month break, which itself was a short return after a 1 year break.... i forgot a lot... but lost only 1 stone for now so i guess i knew a bunch of crap, maybe unlearing will be a good thing ...

Here is my last defeat, any comment welcome i was BLACK (handle tictac). At first my opponent wa svery unreasonable but he got a narrow win anyway0000
i feel than the san-san invasion was the big mistake, i thought i could reduce more.
i am also no so pleased by K15, unless M 15 was a mistake already

How would you have approached it ?
was there an efficient attack against the upper right group at some point?
I think my old demons of not attacking enough are back already

Thanks in advance, i really will try to stick longer this time if life allows

Welcome back.

The theory behind the Chinese fuseki is to make an ambitious but loose framework. If he fails to invade, you secure big territory. If he invades, you attack, and make territory while chasing him. In other words, you are inviting him to invade. ( If you don't like this style, you might want to consider a different fuseki. )

When he invades, you must attack. Move 11 should be at P6.

Despite the slight misplay, by move 20, you have something approximating the theoretical result that you want with the Chinese. You are making probable territory in the upper right. With move 21 you can strengthen your wall by capturing at Q8. Move 27 should be at O16.

With the diagonal move 37 at L16, you don't have a chance of capturing the white stone at M17, so you are basically forcing him to connect his stones and make his weak stones stronger. I would prefer to extend westwards first and leave the option open to push through the gap at N16 later.

@Joaz Banbeck:
thanks for the reivew, glad you are still there: i think you never failed to comment my "creations", each time i posted one (i post a couple at godiscussions)

i do remember than chinese fuseki is about attacking the invasion, here i didnt play 11 P16 because i fearde he would live in the corner, foe example: (didnt read that during the game)
would that have been good for B ?

so i decide to defend my corner first. now i chose a contact play at R6 , which is frowned upon for attacking, so maybe R5 instead ? or is it too slow ?

Fo your other suggestion of O16 i know it is the normal joseki move but here capturing O12 and robbing the life base seemed bigger to me at the time, but i guess that the exachange B O16 WQ12 W is not out of trouble and my up side is prettier
@daaZ
yes i agree should have extended first: and probably cut later instead of forcing the connection
