I'm trying to start studying go more serious again. I'm doing go problems again and trying better to not ONLY experiment ![]() I especialy would like advice on the opening. I'm very bad at doing something about his big framework without dying. I think my moves after the whole initial setback are quite ok except for the small mistake in the center which made me not be able to capture his group. Any comment welcome but I would especialy like advice on the move 9. Thanks a lot !!! |

I've reviewed the game to move 110. I hope my comments are helpful! Keep in mind that I am not that strong of a player, but I am quite confident that most of my comments are correct.

That was a good game for 11K. You do know that you killed two groups, right? The black stones in the middle of the right side are dead. By my count, you are ahead by about 5 points over the board ( it depends on who gets certain yose moves first. ) Even if he gets most of the good points, you still have komi for a winning margin. I like your move 26. I can't say for sure that it works in all variations, but it feels like a good move. The previous review suggests that it fails after a black cut at Q14 and a white reply at R14. But white at R13 turns out fine in all variations that I looked at. Other than that, I'd go with DeFlow. |

Thanks, Indeed i realised that i killed two groups, I can read a bit life and death by now ![]() I counted and felt like i was behind howhever I ran it through mfog12 point counter and: White has: 80 surrounded points (marked) 34 prisoners 6.5 points komi 120 1/2 points total Black has: 65 surrounded points (marked) 18 prisoners 83 points total W+37.5 indeed not bad. So I don't actualy need to do that much about my game but rather about my counting :p Cheers, Otenki |

Oh, I see now! Thanks for your refutation! That being said, I the shape of 26 looked effective and beautiful to me, I just thought it did not work in this situation. And Otenki, it was a very nice game. I liked the fighting spirit you showed. =] My comments might seem a bit harsh, but that doesn't mean I did not like your game. |
