So, how's the ASR going for ya'all this month? I see our own Shaddy's likely to promote to Alpha if he keeps it up, and Loons has a shot at getting into Beta. Personally, I think my only chance at promoting is if three go up this month, since that Spin Doctors song seems pretty insurmountable (bad joke). Anybody have any goals in specific they want to work towards?

One thing I'm noticing in these handicapless games, is that my opponent's rank DOES affect how I play. I seem to play better in games against stronger players. In games against kyu players (even those my own strength or slightly stronger), if I see a move that looks like a mistake, I try too hard to punish it. I should try to play every game as though I'm playing a 15dan, and I also need to learn how to properly respond to overplay. ASR is actually nice for seeing these games side-by-side and letting me fix any attitude/tactical errors that are revealed by this. I can't get overconfident because an opponent is ONLY two stones stronger than me. =P

I want to promote to Alpha. On course at the moment :P

I think the setup is great, and am thoroughly enjoying the league and the games, need to remember to keep playing rated games inbetween though :)

I think I've been playing too many weaker players, I've lost some strength.. gotta find some dans to crush.

I've found myself in the enviable situation of having most of my prospective opponents be stronger (some by a large amount). While part of me is a little jealous that you get to be top dog, I do understand how lucky I am, at this stage.

you can always play rated league games as long as the opponent agrees:)

Oh, that's kosher? Didn't know the result script could handle that. Rad. =)

free, rated and even simul (thought i don't like simul beeing allowed...it's like handicap and handicap isn't allowed)

It would be cool if both Loons and I could promote this month. He beat me the first game, but I'll get him next time! :P

Of course, I'll likely remain an eternal Gamma. I'm good at standing still ...

Wow, I somehow missed your name when glancing through the list. Looks like it's totally possible that you could both promote, you're both fairly close to the top at the moment. Good luck!

I'm just looking forward to next month having the time to participate.
