Hi, I'm looking for a good chess forum, but while there are more chess forums than go forums I cannot find something as good as this one. Do you have any suggestions for me? |

The highest quality chess forum is probably chesspub.com, though it is mostly focused on openings. |

The forum at chess.com is definitely the biggest English language forum I am aware of. If you happen to speak German, there is schachfeld.de - it is very similar to Life in 19x19. But let me tell you: The user experience you will have is going to be miles worse than at 19x19. The folks hanging out at chess forums can be, well, a little idiosyncratic... |

Sometimes things get heated here, too - everyone starts posting massive, gigantic, enormous walls of text that make it impossible to follow the argument. Usually about something minor, too.
