The W move at 2 is huge, so W may reply here immediately. If I now play 3 as in the game, W a is probably smaller that the invasion at 4. This diagram doesn't appeal to me. In the game, W has replied to 2 at a, and not yet got around to protecting the 3-3. So I prefer the game to this.
My move is a probe. I'm not overly attached to my 2 stones, so I'm trying to find the best sacrifice sequence.
W needs to connect around 8 eventually, and the fight following 9 looks good for B. B is playing on the outside, and the 3-3 point is still open. (It's particulalrly big in this position since it affects eye shape as well as territoy.)
It looks like W's cut it troublesome, but in fact I'd welcome it. B 5 eventually forces W to connect at 6. Then the simplest line is for me to give up 3 stones as shown below.

The exchange of the makrked stone is favoruable for me (if I aplyed the marked balck stone after dumping the 3 stones, it would be gote), and a moyo stategy looks fun here. W's corner is not 100% - it is open at a.
So I don't think MW can possibly play like this, and needs an alernative such as:
I think this is OK for me - W wants to answer in centre a lot, so I am very likely to get the 3-3 point. However, 3 in this diagram is not the only move.
If this happens, again there is a a strong case for to play at 3. W 4 is then big - he has very bad aji on the outside, and probably needs a move. This move just about patches things up whilst starting to come into my moyo.

W needs to strengthen his corner, so something like the diagram above may happen. Due to my connection at the marked stone, my group on the oustide is reasonably strong so this line seems reasonable for B. I have quite a lot of territory, a bit of moyo, and my two stones still have a lot of aji. MW has less territory and less moyo, so I think I am ahead.
The key point in this line is if MW can attack the group containin my marked stone effectively. So before committing to this, I may do some more reading (and MW may play somewhere different as well.)
However, this hurts my marked stone and W gets sente to protect against the 3-3. With the game move, my continuation in the centre is more severe if W takes the corner. For example, I can consider cutting immediately:
5 above threatens to cut W at a, so 6 is necessary. Then 7 protects against b and splits W into 2 groups with a possibility of a further cut at c later. I may also be able to play 7 at d directly.
As I stated before, I now expect W to reply as below, which is just sufficient to prevent to cut from the previous diagram:
My reading is that I collapse after 8 here, so I can't play this way. (It's very close to viable for me, though, and I may have made a mis-reading here. I'm not sure about 9 at a, say.)
So far, everything lines up with my previous diagram. I said then that I intended to go into the 3-3 after W protects at 2:

There are a number of don't invade move possible. 3 above is one of them. If W protects the corner, I've re-activated the centre cut. I play at a following the moves shown, and I think it's good for me.
If W replies as I expect, with the diagonal move, I'll decide between the 3-3 and the diagram immediately above at that point.

I took the photo. It was this time last year, at Roca Partida in the Pacific, off the cost of Mexico. It's the only whale shark I've seen on a dive, and it was awesome. (It's the closest I've come to drowning - I ended the dvie at around 0.0 bar because I didn't want it to end.)
The guy in the picture is probably our divemaster, Dani. He saved a whale shark from fishing gear earlier this year (starts at around 4.20):
On reflection, I prefer this line to the 3-3 point immediately. The big benefit of the 3-3 point is when W become occularly challenged with his corner group. That doesn't seem to happen immediately here, which makes it just a territotorial move.
The move played is aggresive and has 3 aims:
1) The 3-3 point after this move is more aggresive, since W may be weak if B is strong in the centre. 2) It helps to create an uppper side moyo. 3) As shown in the earlier diagrams, it aims at cutting black through the centre.
i think he should have initiated 3-3 invasion with his last move. i guess black having funny opening in the beginning must be giving him uneasy feeling. luckly i feel that i am ahead in points and not bad in thickness. i think below diag is better for black than what he played. his last move seems out of place exposing weakness.

This is going to get interesting. W is solid everywhere except for one group in the middle. B is solid only in the lower left - a group that affects nothing. Every other stone that B has is vulnerable to attack.

Although these marked lone stones aren't solid, I wouldn't say they are particularly vulnerable to an attack unless black chooses to allow himself to be attacked. Also the solid lower left does help L4 a little bit as it makes things like j3 more interesting.

I need to be careful with the order of my moves. However, after 11 W needs liberties at the top. But moving out with 12 lets me connect, and I am theretening a, so this feels like quite a big collapse for W.
So I beleive W can't play the one point jump. The risk is that W can play somewhere like b in the very last diagram before initiating any rubbish, and find a move which causes everything to hang togtether.
So I think I can empty triangle.
It's not the only mvoe for me, though. I may be elegantly able to give up the cutting stones. The most remarkable shape I've discovered is this one:

If W passively connect in asnwer to 1, the double empty triangle thing looks very effective at blocking the W moves I've been showing. So W will probably cut:

W should resist 1 above in the centr - if he plays on a small scale I believe that 3 is my sente and I develop my moyo quickly. I have no idea where I should play 5 in these types of positions. If W tenukis with 4:
