With a KGS rank of 20k I can never find opponents, so I went to Tygem this morning and played this game. I would appreciate if any players would comment on my comments and questions on the early portions of the game. (I hope I edited this file right!) Thanks in advance! :)

Edit: Sorry, but I don't know what is wrong with my code.

Edit 2: I can download from the link so I don't understand why it says invalid. And I wish I could get some 14-16k to play me so I could upload my loss for study and recommendations!

After you upload, you have to click "Preview", then right click the link in the automatically-generated footer of your post labelled "Attachments". You can't use the link generated immediately after you upload the file to the server before you preview.

Dusk Eagle: Thanks, I missed the preview step. I will try to get it right next time. Twice I tried changing this one to no avail.

I didn't address everything you asked but covered up until you captured the set of six stones in the middle.

One more comment for Black 105. Don't play moves like this. You already have almost two eyes as it is, but more importantly, your group isn't anything close to surrounded. You cannot possibly die here. This move costs you an entire move plus an additional point for no reason, so it's worse than passing.

Hope this is helpful :).

Dusk Eagle: It must be funny or just annoying to see both sides make so many mistakes! Yeah, my mistake at 23 was countered with his mistake at 28. I knew I could kill his stones along the second, but forgot that k19 and m19 are miai, so we both wasted moves again. I did "read" the cut for White 46, and "thought" that I could capture it. (But I am only semi-literate.) I thought about extending one more time before I haned. Is that what you are suggesting? Argh, your move 49 is so much simpler I want to smack my head with something hard for playing wide!! (I know I've seen this net multiple times in problems...but playing it in real life without being prodded...) And yeah, I showed my yellow feather with move 105.

Thanks again. I aspire to someday advance from idiotic play to bad play. :-?

For :b45:, yes, I'm saying that extending one more time is the far simpler way to kill. Since 6 stones along the second line are dead, even if white gets to push one more time in sente he'll still die. By haneing for :b45:, you leave an unnecessary cut in your shape.
